By fusing together elements of indie pop, folk and alternative, Ingrid
Michaelson has found a dynamic and engaging sound. Her music has been compared
to artists from Fiona Apple to Cold Play, yet she retains her own voice, an
intricate interweaving of words, music and interpretation. Although Ingrid feels
most comfortable behind a piano, she has recently started writing songs on the
guitar, which has added a whole new dimension to her music. Ingrid's voice rolls
from solo vocal and piano tunes to full band songs with ease, showing the
variety of her work and versatility of her vocal ability.

A native New Yorker, Ingrid is regularly seen in Manhattan venues such as The
Knitting Factory, CBGB's Gallery, Bar 169, The Sidewalk Cafe, Kenny's Castaways
and Pianos. She also is currently on the roster of repeat performers at NYC's
The Bitter End. Ingrid has performed outside of NYC as well, including The Stone
Soup Coffee House in Rhode Island.

Ingrid is currently putting the finishing touches on her second full length
album,"Girls and Boys," due this May.
